•Black and White self portrait using any dry or wet medium on a 12 x18

•Research! Look at the internet( or if you can, in an illustrators annual or Spectrum) and find five current working illustrators whose work you really enjoy. Get samples of their work, print them out ( in color)and write up a brief description (a single paragraph)of the working style of the artists and what you in particular like about their work, style and the field in which they are known. Trim and mount the images onto a single sheet of 15” X 20”, 20” X 30” or 30”X40” neutral colored board (black, grey. white, or brown).. Bring pushpins to attach board to wall. Be prepared to discuss in class next week.
•Bring sketchbooks, large( 18 x 24”) Drawing Paper and cameras to class next week. Come prepared to take extensive notes on materials that will form the basis for this semester’s classes.
